Obsession of the Day-Fingerless Sequined Gloves

The 80's have made a comeback in the fashion world, and while we can't welcome back the shoulder pads or neon colors, we most definitely can say yes to sequins!

Sequins are everywhere this season from blazers to skirts to the train-wreck that was the Lindsay Logan/Ungaro heart shaped pasties (we still want to know what Ungaro was smoking when he agreed to hire her). Sequins are great for adding much needed sparkle and glitz to outfits.

If you were like us watching the Rockefeller Tree Lighting, sequins made a great new appearance. No, not Aretha Franklin's dress, but Taylor Schilling's (from NBC's Mercy) gloves. As soon as we saw these amazing fingerless gloves, we jumped online and began the search! How fun is just a little peak of sequin coming out of a trench or a fluffy sweater?

While we don't quite yet get the concept of fingerless gloves (can they even keep your hands warm??) we love the simple twist on a classic winter accesorry and we dig the prices we found even more. Top Shop has a pair for $32, UK online store Bod&Ted has them for $17, and Forever 21 even has a pair for $5 (pictured).

We didn't think we could become more obsessed with sequins, but these jumped the ante and we are amazed!

Obsession of the Day-The Fiona Flat

December is upon us and that officially signals the start of Christmas-the songs of the season, tree trimming, decorating cookies, and wrapping up presents! This is honestly our favorite time of the year, we tend to go all out when it comes to the baking, decorating, and gift giving. As if that weren't enough, any good fashionista knows that there is always the Christmas outfit that must be picked out! Whether the occasion is dressed down or fancy, it can take a bit of extra thinking to come up with just the right outfit. And we have the perfect shoe for the occasion-the Kate Spade 'Fiona' flat. Not only is the name in and of itself is to die for (and sentimental to us), but the bow sends it over the top into adorable, and chic enough to not be seen as corny ( xmas sweaters are one extreme NO, no matter how much Christmas spirit they exude). They come in a multitude of colors to perfectly compliment any outfit.

This winter, Kate Spade has used the Christmas bow in many of her pieces, including necklaces and earrings! We are so tickled by it and can't think of a more appropriate way to celebrate 0ne of the many meanings of Christmas-giving to others. Not only can you wrap up your families gifts and top them all with bows, you can even give yourself one...and for $98 Christmas most certainly can come early for you or a lucky loved one.

Obsession of the Day-Boyfriend Sweater

Ah, the days after thanksgiving...days of relaxtion, work outs...or if you are like any good fashionista, waiting in lines at the crack of dawn for black friday or sitting in front of the computer for cyber monday, amid all the good sales. Regardless of what you are doing after such a tiring and filling holiday, it is all about comfort. And what is comfier (or chic-er) than a boyfriend sweater?

Boyfriend sweaters are oh so versatile-can easily go from cuddling up in a leather chair with a book to going out to brunch with the girls. We wear ours over skinny jeans with layers of pearls or a bib necklace and some phenomenal flats. Victoria's Secret has some great bf sweaters at amazing prices with great fabrics and colors.

Whether it is a boyfriend inspired sweater or simply the sweater off your boyfriends back (we are guilty of whording our boy friends sweaters-the epitomy of comfort to us) these sweaters are sure to make you cozy, chic, and price happy. Ready to tackle all the sales, thrills, and exhaustion that comes with the holidays-the best time of the year.

Obsession of the Day- Feathers

With the recent holiday, we can't help but showcase something that reminds us...Feathers. These little fluttery pieces have made an appearance in the fashion world in the last few seasons and we just gobble them up (quirky no?). We first fell in love with them when we saw the Olsen Twins use them on a skirt for their Elizabeth and James line and the obsession hasn't stopped.

Feathers are beginning to be incorporated into everything-hats, coats, headbands, fasteners, and even jewelry (dolcezza used them on quite a few pieces of the 'La Vita Bella' collection). Regardless of the flight of feathers in fashion, we are still taken with feather adorned skirts. We love full feathered skirts, perhaps a mixture of Diana Ross and Big Bird, but our current obsession are skirts with feathers peaking out from the bottom. Again, Forever 21 hits it home with this fabulous black skirt. The classic silhouette with the sleek and slight metallic feathers is to die for. A great skirt to celebrate all you are thankful for (and you can look simply fabulous doing it!).

Obsession of the Day-Hair Tip

If you are like us, blow drying our hair is a task for only the very brave of stylists. Our curly hair gets frizzy, fried, and typically looks more puff ball than Victoria's Secret sexy. Air drying is what we are left with, which is time consuming and leaves our hair flat.

This weekend while doing our daily read of various blogs and websites, we came across an article on PopSugar about a hair drying secret. Intrigued, we read through and it said that drying hair with a basic towel will create static and frizz. If you dry your hair with an old soft t-shirt or paper towels, your hair will be less aggravated. So, weary that we were being scammed, we tried the old t-shirt idea (because paper towels seemed a big waste) and turban wrapped our hair. After blowing our long hair out, it was smoother and shinier than we had seen it in a long time.

We doubted this immensely, but are so in love now we might go on a blow out binge! We might not acquire the exact VS hair, but with its body and soft curls, we can't help imagine strutting down that lingerie runway! And we might go in search of soft t-shirts strictly for our hair-heat is no longer our tresses nemesis!

Obsession of the Day-Leather Mini

We admit, we're big fans of Twilight...what's not to love about the Romeo and Juliet-esque twisted, dark love story (minus that whole 'he could kill the girl' part)? After it's amazing premiere at the box office, it only seems right to use Twilight/New Moon as our inspiration for today. When we think of vampire we immediately think black leather (Underworld anyone?).

Now, we've had our fair share of leather in the past-jackets, gloves, even pants. What Dolcezza totally wants to get her hands on is a leather mini! We have a tendency to prefer mini's over other skirts (when you are short, you have to create an illusion=lots of leg!) but a leather mini is a step up. It's flashy, sexy, and puts a bit of badass into any killer outfit. Paired with a ruffle blouse or silky boho top, it is just the right mix of sultry and sweet. We found this particular one at Forever 21 for a steal:

Although, after a pair of bitchin' heels and some gaudy bangles, you might end up with your very own vamp lusting after you...though if he is anything like Edward, that couldn't be such a bad thing :)
